Rosa Conrad

For 46 years, Rosa Conrad has helped keep things running smoothly behind the scenes at FMOL Health | Our Lady of the Lake. As a scheduler in surgery administration, her work helps ensure surgical teams have the resources and support they need to provide exceptional patient care.

More Than a Job

When Rosa joined Our Lady of the Lake, she quickly discovered a workplace that felt like more than just a place to earn a living.

“From the very beginning, it felt like more than just a job, it felt like a calling,” Rosa says.

Over the decades, Rosa has watched the hospital grow and evolve while maintaining the sense of community that first drew her to the ministry.

“What makes Our Lady of the Lake special is that it never stopped feeling like a community hospital, even as it’s grown,” she says.

That sense of belonging, along with the relationships she’s built with colleagues, has kept her coming back for more than four decades.

Keeping Things Running Smoothly

As a scheduler for surgery, Rosa knows that every day brings new challenges. She enjoys the problem-solving involved in coordinating schedules and making sure the right team members are available to support patient care.

“It’s not just filling slots on a calendar,” Rosa says. “It’s making sure the right people, with the right skills, are in the right place at the right time, especially when things get unpredictable.”

While patients may never see the work that goes into scheduling, Rosa understands its importance. Her role requires constant coordination with departments throughout the hospital, and she takes pride in helping caregivers focus on what they do best.

“When scheduling works well, nobody notices it,” she says.

A Legacy of Service

For Rosa, celebrating 46 years at Our Lady of the Lake means reflecting on the people and experiences that have shaped her career.

She’s watched generations of team members come through the hospital and seen firsthand how compassion and teamwork make a difference for patients and families.

“The people I’ve worked alongside, and the leadership who supported me, are just as much a part of this milestone as I am,” Rosa says.
